From here, our brave mouse enters subsequent chambers, which act as worlds, armed with collected missiles and its own weight. The Castle of Illusions acts as an inter-level hub. We will visit, among others an enchanted forest, a toy factory, a diabetic’s h**l, where we will jump on cookies and lollipops, and even a cup of tea with malicious sugar cubes. The game offers five different worlds, each of which pleases the eye with a unique style. An example would be the letters A, which while jumping, constantly shout their own vowel. The graphics themselves look very nice, combine Disney style with 3D models, and some monsters are extremely cute. There will also be sequences in three dimensions, which unnerves you and it is then difficult to measure the jumps of our eared hero. We will spend most of our time in 2.5D, and during some levels we will see places that we will visit later. The new version is not limited to two dimensions. Has it been possible to restore the former splendor after more than 20 years? After the successful return of Ducktales the chances were good. Beautiful for its time, the 2D platformer won the recognition of reviewers who were particularly impressed by the quality of the animation and musical themes. We already know this story – “Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse” is a refreshed version of the game released in 1990 on Sega Mega Drive.
This is Disney, so I think guessing the ending will not be a problem for anyone, and Miki will not face a similar dilemma. Will the witch finish the spell before it? And if he doesn’t make it – will he still love the old and ugly Minnie, because he doesn’t really have much choice when it comes to the females of his species? Miki is not a random rat, so the brave mouse set out to rescue her woman. The witch Mizrabel thought the same and visited a couple of mice, kidnapping Minnie to steal her youth and beauty. After all, you have to take advantage of good weather. It’s a beautiful day and Miki took his beloved Minnie on a picnic.
